Junior Academy
Our Junior Academy Program is especially designed for all boys and girls players ages 4, 5 and 6. The program is taught by professionally licensed coaches and is intended to introduce the basic skills needed to play competitive soccer to all beginning players. The program consists of two 1-hour training sessions per week; approximately 12 training sessions. Training days are generally Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Junior Academy can be found by clicking here.

U9 Developmental Academy
Our Developmental Academy program is designed for players 7-9 and is completely different from any recreation soccer program. In our program players receive 2 - 75 minute training sessions with our professional coaches and participate in league games which meet the national standards for youth players. Travel Teams
Newport News FC offers Premier and Elite playing opportunities for players ages 8-18. Tryouts are held each June for the following year. However, individual tryouts can be scheduled by contacting our Director of Coaching at DOC@Newportnewsfc.com. Our Travel teams participate in the Virginia Soccer League which is one of the finest leagues in Virginia. Our teams play against teams from Beach FC, Richmond Strikers, Chesterfield United, Richmond Kickers, VA. Rush and Williamsburg SC, just to name a few.

Hampton Roads Indoor Soccer Championships and Indoor Soccer League
Each year, Newport News FC hosts the Hampton Roads Indoor Soccer Championships. This tournament is held by gender and age group with over 100 teams annually participating. For our teams this tournament provides them the opportunity to play against some of the finest teams in the area in one of the best indoor soccer facilities in the area. In addition to the Hampton Roads Indoor Soccer Championships, Newport News FC also operates the Hampton Roads Indoor Soccer League. This indoor soccer league is played using "Fustal" rules which is the official indoor soccer game of FIFA and is proven to provide players the best developmental experience available in indoor soccer. Tournament Participation
In addition to the league playing opportunities Newport News F.C. teams participate in some of the most prestigious tournaments on the East Coast. Two examples are the Virginia Beach Sun Cup held each Columbus Day and the Virginian held each Memorial Day. Each of these tournaments offer Elite and Premier playing opportunities for the best teams in the state and frequently have teams entered from all over the East Coast. In addition to these outstanding tournaments, Newport News F.C. teams beginning at age 12 participate in the VIRGINIA STATE CUP TOURNAMENT which is a single elimination tournament that crowns U12-U18 State Champions each year.

Our members only camp programs set us apart from other clubs. As members of Newport News F.C. your child will be eligible to attend some of the finest and affordable “camp” programs available in Hampton Roads. Our Champions Camp held each summer for travel team players allows each player to learn concepts vital to their team success, Our Striker and Goal Keeper Camps offered during the season allow players looking for the edge to get more one on one training. Our unique Winter Camp program allows our players to work during the off season to continue to develop.

College Scholarships Opportunities
Newport News has had a history of developing college level players. It is well known in the soccer community that numerous players that initially played on Newport News Travel Soccer Teams have gone on to play at the Collegiate level. Newport News F.C. offers an established college placement program to assure our talented U15-U18 players achieve this goal.
