New Indoor Soccer (Futsal) League Huge Success
In the inaugural season of the Hampton Roads Fustal League, nearly 150 players
representing over 15 teams are playing the fast fun game of Futsal. Futsal is the official
indoor soccer game of FIFA (the international governing body of soccer) and was created
and perfected by the Brazilians. This fast paced game is great for all players because it
rewards quick decisions and precise ball control in a small sided (4v4 plus keepers)
environment. In the first week of league play, there were over 50 goals scored making
for some very exciting soccer to play and to watch. If you want to catch some of the
action, games are played Mondays-Wednesdays at Dozier Middle School from 6 - 8PM.
