& Philosophy

Since our inception in 2003, Newport News FC has proven to be one of the best overall clubs in the State of Virginia. Our travel teams have captured more than 90 League and Tournament Championships proving the overall quality of our youth development program.

• We strive to provide the most comprehensive, professional, affordable and successful youth soccer club in Hampton Roads.
   
• We believe that lasting success in youth soccer takes many seasons to achieve and is a real "team" effort. Our knowledgeable licensed coaching staff guides players through our proven soccer curriculum while the players learn the necessary individual skills that allows them to play soccer at the highest levels. Additionally, success depends on having parents remain patient during the developmental years U10 - U14 years when individual growth and development is more important than winning.
   
• Team & Individual success is a by product of our program. We have proven to provide the right learning environment for young players to grow into some of the best players in the State with most going on to achieve high school team and individual success. Many of our current and former players have been recognized on Bay Rivers and Peninsula All District, All Region and All State teams. • Professionally-guided soccer development programs for boys and girls starting at age 5
• Travel Team participation for boys and girls starting at age 8
• International and Nationally Licensed Coaching Staff

• Reasonable Time Commitment Levels - 2 practices a week with usually one weekend game

Our Professional Affiliations
Newport News FC is affiliated nationally with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA). Within the state, the Club is affiliated with the Virginia Youth Soccer Association which is the parent organization for over 120,000 recreation and travel players. At the local level, Newport News F.C. competes in the Virginia Soccer League.
