This year was a tremendous success for our club for many reasons. Not only did our teams win many league and tournament championships. We hosted two very successful outdoor tournaments and several indoor tournaments. We signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Adidas America. We formed an exclusive partnership agreement with Busch Gardens. We improved our coaching staff by hosting a Regional Diploma course. We doubled in size. Not bad for our first year! However, for all of these accomplishments there is more work to do. It is no secret that many of our players dream about playing in college. As the club director, I am committed to this dream and I will do whatever it takes to make this dream a reality for our players.

As our club teams continue to distinguish themselves as some of the finest in Virginia they will inevitably attract college coaches. Consequently, my goal this year is to implement a comprehensive college bound program that will provide our players the resources they need to identify, select and become involved in the recruitment process. I believe this program is one of the most important things we implement for our club players. This program will allow our players to stay with Newport News F.C. throughout their travel soccer playing career.
