About Alexander

Alex anchored defense for 2010 York High School Falcons that allowed only three goals in nine Bay Rivers District games and posted shut-outs in nine of thirteen games. In 2010, as a starting sophomore Alex played 97% of the minutes during the regular season and post-season tournaments for the Falcons. In 2009 Alex joined the York H.S. JV team but was brought up to the Varsity team for the last five games, where he started all five games at Center Defender and played all but eleven minutes in those five games.

Stats and Achievements

Alex plays for the Newport News FC Strikers team, which was ranked 10th in Virginia as of May 2010. The Strikers had a 63% winning average in 2009-2010 campaigns. For his Club team Alex rotates between Center Defender and Forward. In addition to soccer, Alex plays basketball for his high school, playing both guard and small forward positions.

Additional Comments

Alex has the versatility and flexibility to play effectively in almost every position on the field. He is a tremendous defender, solid forward and midfield player. Alex should have no problem adapting to the technical, tactical, physical and psychological demands of the collegiate game. He has been a leader on and off the pitch.
